Childhood is a critical period of emotional, social, and cognitive development. While many children appear resilient, they may still struggle to express complex feelings, process difficult experiences, or navigate challenges at home or school.

I provide a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where children feel safe, supported, and understood. My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and family-centered interventions to meet children at their developmental level.

Because children often communicate through play rather than words, we use developmentally appropriate, play-based techniques to help them express emotions, build coping skills, and make sense of their experiences. Through this process, children gain confidence, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier ways of relating to others.

Our work with children is rooted in play-based expression, trauma-informed care, skill building, and family collaboration. Caregiver involvement is an important part of this process, helping reinforce progress at home while strengthening the parent-child relationship.

EMDR therapy focuses on helping the brain reprocess unresolved experiences so they are no longer emotionally overwhelming. Through this process, previously distressing memories can become less intense, allowing you to respond to present-day situations with greater clarity, calm, and control.

We work together to identify distressing memories, negative beliefs, and the emotional and physical responses connected to them. Using bilateral stimulation such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones, the brain’s natural information processing system is activated.

Over time, negative beliefs can be replaced with more adaptive and empowering perspectives. Research has shown that EMDR can accelerate healing and often produce meaningful results in a shorter timeframe than traditional talk therapy alone.

This can offer a hopeful, practical pathway toward recovery for clients seeking relief from trauma and other unresolved emotional pain.
